Description
We are looking for a Marketing Director to lead the growth of Squarespace Domains. This role offers the chance to lead marketing for a product that's essential for every small business, entrepreneur, or individual with a creative idea.
You will report to the Senior Director, Marketing - Domains & Applications, and work remote from a US-approved state or hybrid from our NYC Headquarters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Continuing to scale and refine the global marketing strategy for the Squarespace Domains business, focusing on sustainable growth, stronger channel performance, and deeper international traction.
- Evolving the Domains product brand to further align with Squarespace’s core values (design excellence, clarity, transparency) and expanding brand visibility across priority markets.
- Strengthening and optimising the partnership marketing program with key organisations in the Domains ecosystem, identifying new co-marketing opportunities and maturing existing partnerships for long-term impact.
- Working cross-functionally with Squarespace’s marketing teams, including media, lifecycle, and content, to enhance campaign effectiveness and continue optimising the shared-services operating model.
- Collaborating closely with Product Management to amplify product launches, improve messaging precision, and showcase value to both new and existing users.
- Leveraging data analytics to refine KPIs, expand testing programs, and drive ongoing optimisation across acquisition and retention initiatives.
- Managing and allocating marketing spend with increasing efficiency, tracking performance against revenue, CAC, LTV, ROI, and broader product-led growth goals.
- Partnering with Analytics, UX Research, and CRM to iterate on and optimise a cross-product introduction framework that increases adoption of additional Squarespace products and supports customer engagement, retention, and lifetime value.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 12+ years of marketing experience focused on growth, brand, and partnerships.
- Experience working for a B2C tech or SaaS company.
- Previous experience building and overseeing marketing budgets, allocating resources to high-impact channels and campaigns.
- The ability to evaluate and build a roster of growth-focused partnerships to engage with on promotional and co-marketing programs that align with Squarespace brand values.
- Deep understanding of organic and paid user funnels, with experience owning programs that directly drive acquisition.
- Familiarity with performance marketing metrics (CPM, CPI, CPA, CPC & LTV) and adept at using data for campaign optimisation.
- A proven track record of being able to work cross-functionally and represent marketing with senior partners across Product, Finance, Business Development, and Analytics.
- Comfort in creating insights materials and marketing briefs to engage with a world-class Creative organisation and provide feedback on creative materials that will be used in campaign and brand work.
- Experience in attracting, retaining, and developing outstanding marketing talent.
