Senior Test Pilot

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology.

As a Senior Test Pilot, you will support Anduril Intelligence Systems and potentially other business lines. You will act as both an internal and external pilot for unmanned aircraft Group 3 and below, carrying various developmental payloads and integrating with various systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a high degree of professionalism including punctuality and accountability.
• Prepare mission cards and assist in planning flight missions to meet Engineering requirements.
• Act as a safety pilot of semi-autonomous remote piloted fixed and rotary wing target aircraft.
• Observe and direct crew/team members in their positions and actions to maintain a safe posture at all times.
• Perform duties as Pilot in Command during flight operations and manage associated responsibilities.
• Cross-communicate with multiple teams, internal and external to Anduril, including Senior Leadership or Customers.
• Travel on short notice to fulfill operational needs if required.
• Maintain all required training and certifications required to perform your job.
• Provide training and professional developmental support to coworkers as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Expert-level piloting capability with high-performance, complex RC aircraft.
• Ability to proficiently and safely fly and maintain Group 1, 2, and 3 RC Aircraft.
• Willing to travel as required (>50%).
• Part 107 Remote Pilot.
• Part 61 Ground School completion.
• Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient with computer use.
• Willing to be multi-capable, including some electronics troubleshooting and repair.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to rapidly change roles/responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Part 61 Private Pilot License.
• Instrument rating.
• 3 years of developmental test experience.
• 10 years RC experience.
• Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• Experience with developmental flight testing or rapid prototype flight testing.
