Description

We are seeking a Telephone Nurse Triage, Pediatrics to join our team at Advocate Health in Greensboro, NC. As a Telephone Nurse Triage, Pediatrics, you will provide patient/family centered care, acting as partner and adviser to assist and support patients and families to manage optimally their health care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide patient/family centered care via telecommunications technology
  • Apply critical reasoning and astute clinical judgment to expedite appropriate care and treatment
  • Ensure proper scheduling and follow-up on test results for providers
  • Participate in own professional development by maintaining required competencies
  • Focus on patient safety and the quality of nursing care

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with two years of acute care experience required
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of North Carolina and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
  • Ability to assess nursing needs of acute and chronically ill patients through technology methods
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in Telephone Triage and with Health Insurance and Managed Care concepts
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS)
