TGR Haas F1 Team, a stalwart of the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, is seeking an Indirect Buyer to join their team in Banbury, UK. The successful candidate will support the delivery of departmental and organisational objectives, ensuring high standards of service, compliance, and performance.
The role involves indirect procurement of goods and services to support the operation of the wider team, ensuring delivery, cost, and quality targets and milestones are achieved. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of Purchasing or Supply Chain experience, with demonstrated experience in identifying potential quality and delivery risks and implementing effective corrective actions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing indirect procurement of goods and services
- Operating within budgets and achieving agreed procurement cost saving targets
- Providing purchasing support for various categories of equipment and services
- Following purchasing guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Sourcing value for money, quality suppliers, and securing commercially appropriate quotations
- Leading contract negotiations with external vendors
- Collaborating with relevant departments to ensure effective sourcing strategies
- On-boarding new vendors and setting them up on the ERP system
- Processing requisitions and raising purchase orders
- Expediting deliveries and maintaining accurate order books
- Building relationships with suppliers and negotiating with them for the best price, quantities, and delivery timescales
- Handling invoice queries and liaising with the finance department
