Job Overview

As a Software Engineer on our Battlespace Awareness team, you will contribute to developing cutting-edge algorithms and software with real-world applications. You will work in small, innovative teams to build solutions that make a tangible impact. Our goal is to deploy our technology in mission-critical systems, ensuring success for our government and industry customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with your team to shape project direction with your expertise and ideas.
• Prototype state-of-the-art software solutions in an agile environment.
• Develop high-performance software for tactical systems and web applications.
• Utilise high-fidelity modelling and simulation environments, along with innovative analysis tools and techniques, to quantify the benefits of our technology.
• Engage closely with customers to ensure successful mission-critical outcomes.
• Work across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues and customers about your work and its significance.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience.
• A bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, or another technical discipline (an advanced degree is highly regarded).
• Proficiency in C/C++, Rust, Python, and Matlab.
• Experience with big data, NoSQL, and database technologies.
• Strong foundation in software engineering principles, including design, algorithm implementation, analysis, testing, and optimisation.
• Knowledge of machine learning techniques such as supervised and unsupervised learning, clustering, and classification.
• Applied mathematics skills in areas like differential equations, linear algebra, optimisation, statistics, and random processes.
• Understanding of engineering principles, including controls, estimation theory, and digital signal processing.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.
