As a Software Engineer: Release Manager, you will be part of the Resiliency Organization responsible for building and maintaining the platform that powers safe, reliable, and automated deployments across Cloudflare. We are looking for engineers to join the Deploy@Scale team and shape the future of deployment automation and release safety.
The Release Manager platform is pivotal in ensuring service resiliency by orchestrating progressive deployments, supporting health-mediated rollouts, and automating release workflows at scale. Our mission is to make deployments seamless, predictable, and observable for all engineering teams across Cloudflare.
This is a unique opportunity to work on complex, globally distributed systems that underpin every Cloudflare product. You will play a key role in advancing the infrastructure that enables fast, safe delivery of changes to production, directly impacting the reliability and velocity of Cloudflare's global network
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the platform that powers safe, reliable, and automated deployments across Cloudflare
- Join the Deploy@Scale team and shape the future of deployment automation and release safety
- Ensure service resiliency by orchestrating progressive deployments, supporting health-mediated rollouts, and automating release workflows at scale
- Make deployments seamless, predictable, and observable for all engineering teams across Cloudflare
Requirements
- At least 4 years of hands-on software development experience on meaningfully complex systems
- Experience building both backend systems and frontend widgets
- Ability to contribute to planning, development, and execution to meet commitments and deliver with predictability
- Experience implementing tools, processes, internal instrumentation, and methodologies
- Comfortable working on projects with tight deadlines and short release cycles
- Strong verbal and written English language skills
Compensation
- For Washington D.C. based hires: Estimated annual salary of $154,000 - 188,000
