Description

Are you passionate about engineering and its application to high quality audio reproduction? Do you have a strong background in mixed-signal electronics design, and enjoy working in cross functional teams to make exciting new product ideas come to life? If the answer to these questions is yes, then we'd love to hear from you!

At ADAM Audio, we're looking for a forward-thinking and experienced Electronics Engineer to join our team, who can own and deliver our control, DSP, and power amplifier PCB designs, as the team develops our next generation of studio monitors and headphones.

As an Electronics Engineer, you will be collaborating closely with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams across the company and external partners, to define, prototype and develop products from early sketches on to market introduction and maintenance.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include delivering electronics hardware, including evaluation of new technologies, design of schematics and PCBs, ensuring your designs are suitable for mass production and comply with latest market regulations (CE, FCC etc.).

As part of the team, you'll be able to directly influence the products we build and have a high degree of autonomy and technical ownership. You will be planning your activities, estimating your work and collaborating to meet deadlines and product requirements.

You will work hands-on at functional prototypes and evaluation boards to debug and test your electronic hardware designs.

Individual and team development is important, and we'll support you as you look for ways to grow and improve your personal knowledge and skills. We'll also be looking for you to own and help improve our approach to electronic engineering and design knowledge, including best practices, processes, and tools.

There will also be opportunities to share knowledge and practices with all companies across the Focusrite group.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, prototype and develop products
  • Deliver electronics hardware, including evaluation of new technologies and design of schematics and PCBs
  • Ensure designs are suitable for mass production and comply with latest market regulations
  • Work hands-on at functional prototypes and evaluation boards to debug and test electronic hardware designs
  • Plan activities, estimate work and collaborate to meet deadlines and product requirements
  • Own and help improve our approach to electronic engineering and design knowledge

Requirements:

  • Expert design skills in analogue and digital audio electronics, power amplifiers, RF (e.g. Bluetooth, WiFi), microprocessor interfacing, and mixed-signal
  • Expertise in using common CAD tools for PCB design, as well as tools for circuit simulation
  • Mastering a range of test equipment: oscilloscopes, logic analysers, bus analysers and audio analysers (Audio Precision)
  • Experience with meeting compliance regulations and standards (CE, FCC, EMC, RED, LVD etc.) for active amplification systems, USB-, wireless- and Ethernet-connectivity, and battery powered devices
  • Strong ability to analyse and present trade-offs between cost, quality, and development time
  • Hands-on problem-solving and debugging skills, including lab work (test equipment, SMT - soldering etc.)
  • Excellent team working and communication skills in English, both written and spoken and ideally good German language skills
  • Appetite for continuous improvement in all aspects of product discovery and delivery

Beneficial:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Electronics Engineering (or other relevant technical disciplines)
  • Experience with linear and switching PSU designs
  • Familiarity with embedded software and loudspeaker technologies

What can you expect from us?

  • Flexible working hours for a better work-life balance
  • A healthy mix of remote and office work
  • A harmonious and appreciative working atmosphere
  • Work on exciting projects in a unique industry as part of an international brand group
