Description
Anduril Industries is seeking an Electrical Engineer - Test Design to design and deliver test systems for its electronic products.
The successful candidate will work with the test organisation to identify gaps in test coverage and own the design and delivery of hardware and software test solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-of-line test plan definition for new products and features, collaborating with firmware, software, and hardware design teams
- Determine test strategies that optimise product safety, reliability, risk mitigation, FMEA coverage, and schedule
- Design and execute PCBA and electrical system components with hands-on testing and rework as necessary
- Analyse data and communicate results clearly, collaborating with design engineers to resolve product issues
- Design and implement next-generation test automation hardware systems for fast and repeatable testing
- Execute purchasing, building, integrating, and commissioning functional testers
- Develop test procedures and automation from component to system level
- Support board bring-up and bench validation as needed
- Provide feedback from test results to improve quality and test coverage
- Participate in design reviews
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of hands-on electrical engineering experience designing functional test equipment
- 2+ years of experience in schematic capture and/or PCBA layout, preferably with Altium Designer
- Experience with scripting languages such as C/C++/C#, Python, MATLAB, and LabVIEW
- Experience with peripherals and developing test and validation strategies
- Familiarity with communication bus protocols such as USB, I2C, I2S, CSI, Ethernet, SPI, PCIe, HDMI, CAN, and serial comms
- Understanding of lab safety protocols and measurement analysis techniques
- Experience with source code revision and control, preferably with GitHub
- Clearance eligible
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and VISIO
- Detail-oriented with effective team collaboration skills
- Understanding of product release cycles from prototype to production
- Experience with RF test equipment and testing RF components
