Mobile Engineer, Treasury

Job Description:

We're looking for a skilled Mobile Engineer to join our Direct Surfaces Team at Stripe. As a Mobile Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering a world-class mobile experience for Treasury users.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver a world-class mobile experience for Treasury users
• Scope and lead technical projects, laying the groundwork for our products to iteratively evolve and scale
• Design, build, expand and maintain mobile-specific view cross-platform components, backing APIs and their services
• Work with our partners to design and launch new features and capabilities
• Align our technical decisions with Stripe's broad strategic initiatives, while also advocating for needs specific to emerging new businesses
• Work with engineers across the company to understand when existing infrastructure can be leveraged vs. when building a bespoke solution is prudent
• Develop and execute against both short- and long-term roadmaps
• Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation

Requirements:

• 3+ years of industry experience
• Experience building mobile applications, including working beyond just the client
• Understanding of good practices when building and working with UIs and APIs
• Ability to measure success in terms of business impact, not lines of code
• Internalize the best ideas from across the organization, humbly setting a vision that others are excited to get behind
• Ability to work well cross-functionally and earn trust from co-workers at all levels
• Care deeply about mentorship and growing engineers
• Prefer simple solutions and designs over complex ones, and have a good intuition for what will last and scale
• Thrive in a collaborative environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using React Native
• Experience in ensuring great user experience and ease of use of features for products you build
• Experience with financial product companies and interest in financial products and markets
