Medical Assistant

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at HCA Florida Ocala Primary Care. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative and clinical support to our healthcare team. Your duties will include preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and assisting with medical procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, answering phone calls, and performing other administrative tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs, updating medical histories, and obtaining relevant medical information
• Assist healthcare providers with medical procedures, such as injections and wound care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans
• Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
• Perform other administrative tasks as needed

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a medical assisting program or equivalent experience
• Certification as a medical assistant (CMA) or registered medical assistant (RMA) preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
