Maintenance Specialist- System D (Fuel Supply)

This position will be accountable for all maintenance and support activities associated with the Maintenance Specialist role of Plant Bowen's Fuel Supply System.

The successful candidate will be responsible for technical support, short- and long-term maintenance strategy, outage planning/scheduling and coordination, routine maintenance planning, project management and contractor coordination, outage and baseline budget tracking, as well as capital project management, planning, and execution.

Key responsibilities include:

• Development and execution of maintenance strategies for owned system(s)
• Monitoring maintenance strategy via preventative maintenance tracking as well as documentation of equipment failures and maintenance strategy violations
• Administering the work order management system by effectively communicating system needs through the prioritization of work orders, providing detail work scopes, coordination, and execution of the weekly work plan
• Supporting and reviewing Root Cause Analyses on system issues
• Tracking and providing input to O&M and Capital budget development
• Developing, planning, scheduling, and executing outage work scope plans for forced, planned, and maintenance outages
• Executing major maintenance or replacement activities by providing specific technical direction and coordination of assigned maintenance crews and/or contractor personnel while monitoring quality, cost, and adherence to contract specifications as well as equipment specs and maintenance procedures
• Analyzing critical situations on owned Plant equipment to determine competent solutions to identified problems and a resolution to them
• Consistently displaying strong technical acumen and self-directed decision-making capability regarding plant equipment
• Supporting the Best Practices Program by developing and implementing best practices in a timely manner
• Providing subject matter expertise to maintenance personnel including OEM specs, manuals, and procedures to accomplish work on owned system equipment
• Establishing a working relationship with key vendors and SCS personnel; gathering and analyzing acceptance data on new/rebuilt equipment and staying informed of current technology
• Displaying effective communication skills and people skills to foster effective working relationships with personnel from all departments
