About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer (Android) to join our Offers team at EarnIn. The Offers team helps community members find ways to save and earn more by sourcing and curating offers that put real money back in their pockets.
Position Summary
The ideal candidate will be an Android-strong engineer who is eager to work beyond a single platform. They should be able to go deep on Android but be comfortable picking up iOS or backend work as needed. The role involves working closely with other backend and client engineers, product, design, and business development teams to create new product experiences for customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with product and design from problem definition onward, shaping what we build and why
- Build and refine systems that source, match, and surface offers
- Work across the stack as needed, owning Android but contributing to iOS or backend when necessary
- Use AI-native development workflows and tools for cross-stack code generation and faster iteration
- Translate customer pain points and business goals into technical solutions
- Run and instrument experiments to validate product outcomes
- Design and implement new APIs and develop a scalable architecture
- Drive decisions on app development and testing strategies
- Ship iteratively, prioritizing ruthlessly and balancing speed against quality
- Create unit and automation tests to ensure new code doesn't break existing features
- Act as a tech lead, owning outcomes and projects end-to-end
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
- 4+ years of industry experience building and maintaining mobile applications at scale, with a strong focus on Android
- A product mindset, caring about customer outcomes and business impact
- Tech lead experience, owning projects end-to-end and mentoring junior engineers
- Willingness to work across stacks and contribute to iOS or backend development
- Fluency in Kotlin and experience with modern Android app architectures
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Benefits
The Vancouver, Canada, base salary range for this full-time position is $199,800 - $244,200, plus equity and benefits. The role will be hybrid, with two days a week in our Vancouver office.
