Description
As Director, Product Education Engineering at Cursor, you'll build and lead the technical curriculum function, ensuring every major capability ships with the educational infrastructure developers need to adopt it.
You'll own the technical education content roadmap, prioritize it against product releases, adoption gaps, and enterprise needs, and build Cursor's technical learning library hands-on.
Your responsibilities include:
- Building and leading Cursor's technical curriculum function
- Creating and prioritizing the technical education content roadmap
- Developing and maintaining the technical learning library
- Partnering with Product and Engineering to ensure new capabilities ship with necessary tutorials and learning paths
- Helping engineering organizations evolve from isolated usage to company-wide adoption
- Defining performance metrics to measure activation, adoption, and developer fluency gains
- Hiring and developing a team of education engineers
Requirements:
- 7+ years in technical education, developer content strategy, or developer relations at a developer tools or platform company
- Experience owning a content roadmap end-to-end
- Hands-on experience with developer workflows, AI tooling, SDLC tooling, CI/CD systems, and enterprise engineering environments
- Strong opinions about great developer education
- Extensive experience with AI coding tools
- Customer-obsessed and cross-functional mindset
Bonus Points:
- Background in instructional design or learning science
- Experience building or governing a third-party education or partner certification ecosystem
- Familiarity with LMS platforms
- Experience managing video content programs
- Prior experience standing up a certification or credentialing program
