LPN Atrium Health One Health Urgent Care Birkdale PT

We are seeking a Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Atrium Health One Health Urgent Care Birkdale in Huntersville, North Carolina.

As an LPN, you will provide patient-centered nursing care in an outpatient clinic according to established scope of practice guidelines and standards of care.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and room patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and documenting/updating pertinent health information
• Perform laboratory procedures using principles of aseptic technique and standard precautions/infection control guidelines
• Assist physicians/providers with procedures and surgeries
• Administer medications under physician/provider orders
• Provide basic patient education on tasks, skills, treatment, and self-care
• Communicate with physicians and other healthcare team members
• Document and communicate accurate and timely information regarding patient conditions
• Perform advanced clinical tasks or skills with demonstrated competency and under clinical supervision
• Organize and prepare exam rooms, lab, and work areas
• Participate in patient-centered initiatives, care management, performance, and quality improvement activities

Requirements:

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which the team member practices
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing
• Excellent communication, organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
• Proficient computer skills, including keyboarding, navigation within a Windows operating system, and use of electronic mail
