Globalization Tech Lead

Okta is seeking a highly skilled Globalization Engineer to lead the technical aspects of its global digital operations.

As a Globalization Tech Lead, you will own, build, and optimise the automation and technology stack that powers the localisation team.

Responsibilities:

• Build and own the localisation automation framework using agentic workflows, Python, and APIs.
• Spearhead AI and technology integration, evaluating and implementing cutting-edge localisation technologies.
• Provide technical oversight and systems integrity, resolving high-impact architectural failures.
• Advise on internationalisation (i18n), consulting with product and engineering teams.
• Manage and optimise the Translation Management Systems (TMS) environment.
• Drive early detection (shift-left strategy), developing self-service tools for dev teams.

Requirements:

• 6-8 years of experience in software or globalisation engineering.
• Expert-level proficiency in Python and APIs.
• Experience with enterprise CMS or MSM platforms.
• Proven experience implementing AI in localisation workflows.
• Deep technical understanding of the localisation landscape.
• Ability to conduct code-level i18n reviews.
• Systematic and analytical problem-solving mindset.

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting on workflow performance.

Salary:

• $132,000-$181,500 USD (California, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Washington)
• $114,000-$157,300 CAD (Canada)
