Physical Therapist - Skilled Nursing - PRN

Join our team as a Physical Therapist in our skilled nursing facility in Atkinson, NE. As a Physical Therapist, you will plan, organise and deliver physical therapy programs to help clients recover and improve their mobility, relieve pain, increase strength and prevent deformities.

Our therapy department is supported by a dedicated team, including a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) available five days a week, an Occupational Therapist (OT) three days a week, and Speech Therapy (ST) provided by PRN team members. Together, they work closely to help residents regain independence and achieve their highest level of function.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct examinations, evaluations, and interventions for clients/patients/residents affected by injury or disease.
• Utilize tools and techniques to administer physical therapy interventions following safeguards.
• Document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation; establish therapeutic plans and modify them if necessary.
• Educate clients/patients/residents and their family members about treatment plans/schedules and self-exercises to be continued at home.
• Demonstrate and incorporate knowledge of current research into daily treatment of clients/patients/residents.

Qualifications:

• Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure.
• Must be licensed in the state(s) of practice as a Physical Therapist.
• When applicable, may require valid driver's license.
• Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
