Description
Farmers Group seeks an experienced Guidewire Developer II to join their team. As a Guidewire Developer II, you will be responsible for the development, design, testing, and deployment of system functionality. Your specific duties will include:
Designing and developing computer programs and objects/components in multiple applications Configuring packaged software Providing expertise in the solution design and functionality of business applications Reviewing and validating application technical design of team members to ensure alignment with business needs and best practice architecture principles Analyzing and evaluating existing manual and computerized systems/procedures to improve efficiency Researching and developing techniques for automation Documenting and implementing programs according to installation standards and conventions Analyzing and making recommendations on the need for system backup, security, restart/recovery, balance controls, and recommending approaches for meeting such needs Identifying complex errors that occur in application testing and analyzing results to trouble shoot and execute root cause analysis
Requirements
- Total Work Experience: Minimum 4-8 years
- Required Branch(es) of study: BS in Computer Science or equivalent
- Needs to be GW certified with GW Certification
- Additional Preferred Branch(es) of Study: Java, J2EE, COBOL, DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, Guidewire policy center 9.0.5 and 10 development, and GOSU language
