Description

We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to lead, design, develop, and maintain digital products in our LNG Energy Trading and Risk Management landscape.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will work closely with other software engineers, product managers, UX designers, data analysts, and scientists, as well as our business partners. You will actively participate in feature development, performance enhancements, and offering technical support to other teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design sophisticated backend components, services, platforms, and RESTful APIs for seamless communication with the front end.
  • Design front-end components and seamless integration with back-end systems, facilitating smooth data exchange.
  • Design pipelines to ingest data and monitor datasets.
  • Continuously review services and components, seeking opportunities for improvements.
  • Identify and address tech debt.
  • Influence and deliver the product roadmap to improve Key Performance Indicators and deliver tangible business value.
  • Develop the team's Software Engineering and Data Analytical skills.
  • Own the team's culture and ways of working, instilling a care for high-quality code and tests, and implementing best practices.
  • Hands-on development in Python, SQL, and C#.
  • Mentoring and line management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience with Planlogic EOS ETRM and Palantir Foundry.
  • Demonstrated ability in the IT industry with experience in designing, planning, implementing, maintaining, and documenting solutions.
  • Proven experience designing, building, and transforming big data in Palantir.
  • Experienced in leading a team of data engineers in an agile environment.
  • Strong communication skills to translate business requirements independently.
  • Strong Software Engineering Design capabilities and understanding of Computational Complexity.
