Software Engineer- Battlespace Awareness

About the Team

Anduril's Air & Missile Defense Radar team designs and implements sophisticated tracking solutions to detect, track, and characterise airborne threats in real-time. The team works in small, focused groups to develop novel multi-target tracking algorithms and high-performance distributed systems that process large amounts of sensor data quickly.

What You Will Do

• Design and implement advanced tracking algorithms for new air and missile threats, including multi-target tracking, track fusion, and discrimination techniques
• Develop high-performance, real-time software systems that process radar sensor data and maintain tracks on multiple simultaneous targets
• Build and use modelling and simulation environments to validate tracking performance and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with radar engineers and system architects to integrate tracking solutions into defence systems
• Optimise tracking software for performance-critical environments where speed is crucial
• Communicate technical concepts and trade-offs to cross-functional teams, programme leadership, and customers
• Participate in customer demonstrations and field tests to ensure successful deployment

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python
• Solid foundation in mathematics, including linear algebra, probability, statistics, and differential equations
• Understanding of software engineering fundamentals, including design patterns, testing, version control, and debugging
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with tracking, estimation, or filtering algorithms
• Background in controls, estimation theory, or digital signal processing
• Familiarity with radar systems or sensor fusion
• Experience with high-performance computing, machine learning techniques, database technologies, and web development technologies
• Proficiency with modelling and simulation tools
• Experience working in agile development environments

Salary

The salary range for this role is $111,000 - $147,000 USD.
