Description
A Product Infrastructure Security Engineer at Palantir will be hands-on and have wide-ranging impact for the security of Palantir. The role involves performing full-scope security reviews of current and future product and service portfolio, threat modelling, assessing risks, and implementing security controls and mitigations to address identified issues. The engineer will also lead engineering teams in feature design, threat modelling, and security-critical control implementation, and develop and implement automation to enforce security baselines and eliminate entire classes of infrastructure weaknesses across the organisation.
The engineer will drive decision-making by determining the trade-offs between security and product design, and lead implementation of strategic security initiatives that improve security across Palantir. They will work closely with engineering teams across the company to embed security at every layer of what they build.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security, with experience in designing and operating production-grade infrastructure and platform services. They will also have experience with modern high-level programming languages, such as Java, Golang, JavaScript, or Python, and be familiar with complex or distributed platform architectures.
The salary for this position is estimated to be between $135,000 and $200,000 per year, depending on the individual's qualifications and experience.
