At Synopsys, we're seeking a skilled Validation / Verification, Sr Engineer to join our Fluids Business Unit. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for specifying, writing, and maintaining comprehensive test cases and scripts for ANSYS CFD software. You will perform functional, application, regression, and performance testing in both manual and automated environments. Your tasks will also include investigating and analyzing potential causes of software issues, collaborating with technical specialists to resolve them, creating test plans, participating in defect management, and contributing to the tracking of testing metrics.
In this role, you will apply standard testing techniques and procedures, ensuring compliance with company development and quality processes. You will work across diverse computing environments, including Windows, Linux, and high-performance computing systems. You will assist with validation and verification studies to confirm product accuracy and reliability.
As a Validation / Verification, Sr Engineer, you will ensure ANSYS CFD software delivers robust, accurate solutions that meet real-world engineering challenges. You will enhance product reliability and usability, directly influencing customer satisfaction and trust. You will contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, raising quality standards across the Fluids Business Unit. You will support the team in identifying and resolving critical defects, safeguarding the integrity of simulation products. You will drive innovation by validating new features and functionalities for advanced engineering simulation. You will empower users to solve complex engineering problems efficiently, expanding Synopsys' impact in the simulation market.
To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Chemical Engineering, or related field with 2+ years of experience, or MS with no experience. You will require a strong background in numerical methods and algorithms commonly used in CFD. You will need hands-on experience with CFD software and solving engineering problems. You will need proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, and familiarity with both Linux and Windows platforms. You will need experience in large-scale commercial software testing and verification environments.
