Description
We're looking for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our team in Rotherham. As a Multi Skilled Operative, you will be responsible for loading and sorting waste using mobile plant machinery, ensuring compliance with the site environmental permit and municipal contract. Your key responsibilities will include assisting with MRF plant blockages, cleaning the MRF plant when needed, and working in accordance with QHSE policies.
You will also be involved in best practice and continuous improvement, undertaking regular site audits and checks, and ensuring the highest level of housekeeping is maintained. Additionally, you will be required to provide light maintenance of equipment and assist the site supervisor in reviewing maintenance activities, cost control, health and safety, and implementing necessary remedial actions.
Requirements for the role include previous mobile plant experience, knowledge of MRF operations, and a willingness to learn and undertake studies to obtain a level 2 City and Guilds Qualification in Sustainable Waste Management. You will also need to have good understanding of health, safety and environmental compliance, and good people skills to communicate at all levels throughout the company and externally.
