Telephone Nurse Triage - Family Medicine

We are seeking a Telephone Nurse Triage - Family Medicine to join our team in Lexington, North Carolina. As a Telephone Nurse Triage, you will provide patient-centered care, acting as a partner and advisor to assist and support patients and families in managing their healthcare.

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient/family centered care, respecting culture and values, individual needs, health goals, and treatment preferences.
• Apply critical reasoning and clinical judgment to expedite appropriate care and treatment.
• Ensure proper scheduling and follow-up on test results for providers.
• Participate in own professional development, maintaining required competencies and seeking assistance or educational offerings.
• Focus on patient safety and quality of nursing care, applying nursing interventions and promoting patient advocacy.

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with two years of acute care experience required; BSN preferred.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of North Carolina and Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• Ability to assess nursing needs of acute and chronically ill patients through technology methods.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
