Electrical Integration Intern - Avionics (Fall 2026)

We're looking for an Electrical Integration Intern to join our team at Astranis. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on hard problems and contribute to the design, build, and test of satellite hardware and software. You will work with the Electrical, Mechanical, Radio Frequency, and Propulsion engineering teams to develop assembly and integration test plans and procedures based on concepts and designs. You will also learn to use various pieces of test equipment and instruments to successfully execute test plans.

Responsibilities:

• Work on an interdisciplinary team to design, build, and test satellite hardware and software
• Develop assembly and integration test plans and procedures based on concepts and designs
• Learn to use various pieces of test equipment and instruments to successfully execute test plans
• Coordinate assembly, integration and environmental test efforts
• Help solve complex electrical, software, and mechanical problems in an integrated system

Requirements:

• Pursuing a four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent technical degree)
• A passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize
• Strong communication skills
• Must be onsite 5 days a week

• Hands-on experience in designing, building, and testing complex electrical systems
• Experience writing Python code to interface with test equipment, process large datasets, and visualize data
• Direct electrical or software design experience
• Demonstrated ability to debug hardware and software problems under time pressure
