Asst IT Officer

As an Assistant IT Officer, you will provide IT systems support, maintenance, monitoring, and software/equipment updates to maintain optimal system performance and uptime. You will assist the IT Officer in ensuring security updates and anti-virus programs are kept current on Company-provided hardware and that appropriate user access and restrictions are maintained.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing IT systems support, maintenance, monitoring, and software/equipment updates
• Assisting the IT Officer with security updates, anti-virus programs, and user access
• Monitoring daily backup processes and aiding with restores as necessary
• Updating current inventory documentation of IT equipment on board
• Assisting in shipping and receiving company IT hardware
• Performing maintenance on IT equipment and Data Center equipment racks
• Providing IT systems support per Service Level Agreement expectations
• Responding to support requests promptly and prioritizing requests as directed
• Providing assistance and training for IT systems as needed

The ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role supporting a user network
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Proven ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining a positive and professional attitude
• Solid technical writing skills
