Director of Communications, West

The Director of Communications, West is a key role in the marketing team for the West region, responsible for leading the communications team and developing media strategies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Leading the communications team for the region, establishing and growing the team, and ensuring strong bonds with marketing departments
• Developing and managing communications budgets across the region
• Creating and executing communications plans, including media relations, crisis communications, and always-on activities
• Building and maintaining relationships with media contacts, including editors, journalists, and influencers
• Identifying and amplifying media opportunities, and measuring media outcomes
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sports marketing, and creator marketing

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong editorial and communications skills
• Experience in leading a team and developing media strategies
• Knowledge of local consumer media consumption habits and media markets
• Ability to build strong relationships with media contacts and stakeholders
