Description

As a Data Scientist on the EV Core Experience team within the Global Data Insights & Analytics (GDIA) organization's Strategy & Enterprise Analytics (SEA) team, you will be a key player in bridging the gap between complex data streams, engineering requirements, and actionable AI solutions that drive Ford’s EV leadership.

The role spans the full project lifecycle from analytic problem definition, through data gathering, analysis, model development, reporting/visualization development, testing, and operational deployment.

You will acquire deep understanding of business problems and translate them into appropriate analytical solutions, work with large, complex data sets using tools such as Python, SQL, Google Cloud Services, Hadoop, and develop and deliver business solutions using skills such as data acquisition, data engineering, programming, modelling and visualization.

You will also develop and deliver analytic products on Generative AI (LLM models) and develop and deliver analytic products using skills such as statistical analysis, machine learning, algorithm design, and interface development.

You will interact and work cross-functionally with a wide variety of teams, develop trust with stakeholders and peers by delivering results on time, ensure overall quality of the analytical solutions throughout the development process, and work with business teams on change management.

You will provide training and maintenance of implemented tools to business partners, collect feedback from business users and continuously improve analytic products.

You will have a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science or a related quantitative discipline, 4+ years of experience or other significant, independent project experience using analytical tools, familiarity with BigQuery, SQL, and visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI, Looker), 3+ year of experience using SQL for acquiring and transforming data, 3+ year of experience with real-world data, data cleaning, data collection or other data wrangling challenge, hands on experience - predictive analytics techniques like Regression, Classification, Clustering, Tree-based algorithms etc., conceptual knowledge in one or more of the following domains: NLP, forecasting algorithms and deep learning etc., comfortable working in an environment where problems are not always well defined, inquisitive, proactive, and interested in learning new tools and techniques, strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, 3+ years of work experience with Python, SQL, and/or visualization/dashboard tools (such as Tableau, PowerBI or Qlik sense), 3+ years of work experience in data mining, statistical analysis, modeling, optimization or similar analytics, ability to effectively advocate technical solutions to peer, management and business audiences, well-organized, a self-starter, independent and ready to work with minimal supervision, a respectful and committed teammate, willing to excel and work with talented people, and work experience in automotive industry is a big plus.
