Trainee Pricing Analyst

We are seeking a Trainee Pricing Analyst to join our Pricing team at Biffa, a leading business waste management company in the UK. This is an exciting development opportunity where no previous pricing experience is required. As a Trainee Pricing Analyst, you will support the testing of pricing and system changes, investigate and resolve pricing queries, gather and analyse data to support commercial decision-making, and present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the testing of pricing and system changes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Investigating and resolving pricing queries, providing timely and effective solutions
• Gathering, validating, and combining data from multiple systems to support commercial decision-making
• Producing regular reports and analysis for business stakeholders
• Analysing pricing and commercial data to identify trends and opportunities
• Presenting insights and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership
• Translating pricing and financial data into clear commercial actions
• Building strong working relationships with colleagues across Operations, Sales, Customer Services, Finance, and Business Intelligence
• Developing knowledge of modern analytical tools, including Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Excel, Python, R, and SQL
• Supporting pricing initiatives that improve profitability and enhance commercial performance
• Contributing to continuous improvement projects across the Pricing function
