Skilled Trade - Tool and Template Maker

We're looking for a skilled trade tool and template maker to join our team in Southeast Michigan. As a tool and template maker, you will be responsible for creating and repairing fixtures and tooling, operating manual lathes, mills, surface grinders, radial drills, and metal cutting machines, and setting up and operating CNC lathes and milling machines.

The ideal candidate will have completed a bona fide apprenticeship, or have 8 years of previous experience, or have a combination of previous work experience and training equivalent to a bona fide apprenticeship program in the trade.

Responsibilities include:

• Operating manual lathes, mills, surface grinders, radial drills, and metal cutting machines
• Creating and repairing fixtures and tooling
• Setting up and operating CNC lathes and milling machines
• Using precision measuring tools
• Reading blueprints and schematics
