Procurement Category Manager - Logistics

Join our growing Procurement team as a Procurement Category Manager - Logistics and drive value creation in the Logistics category.

As a Business Partner and primary Procurement interface, you will shape how we purchase logistics, working closely with HQ Logistics to optimize procurement practices, sourcing approaches, and commercial methods.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and refine Category Strategies for Logistics subcategories like Transport and Warehousing
• Analyze market and supplier landscapes to ensure strategies align with business and Procurement goals
• Integrate risk, resilience, and ESG targets into Category Strategies
• Define and track relevant KPIs and savings targets
• Lead end-to-end sourcing activities and negotiations with key carriers, 3PLs, and strategic suppliers
• Manage supplier segmentation based on value contribution, risk, and strategic relevance
• Conduct regular performance and risk reviews to identify optimization opportunities
• Collaborate with HQ Logistics and internal stakeholders to provide commercial guidance and ensure alignment

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in Logistics Procurement
• Completed studies or advanced degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or similar
• Fluent German and English language skills
• Experience working with 3PLs, carriers, and logistics service providers
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills
• Proven track record in developing and managing Category Strategies
• Experience with commercial and financial tools (e.g., TCO, benchmarking, scenario analysis)
• Strong sourcing and procurement expertise
• Excellent stakeholder management and business partnering skills
