Medical Assistant

We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at MSO - Texas Bone and Joint NW in Houston, TX. As a Medical Assistant, you will provide administrative support to our healthcare team, including preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and maintaining accurate records. This is a full-time position with a days-only schedule, with no weekends. You will work closely with our healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vital signs, updating medical histories, and obtaining necessary documents
• Assist healthcare professionals with exams, procedures, and treatments
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Develop and implement effective communication strategies to ensure seamless patient care
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to address patient concerns and resolve issues

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a medical assisting program or equivalent experience
• Basic life support certification (BLS) required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
