Business Strategy Lead

As a Business Strategy Lead at Millennium, you will drive the strategic agenda by analysing unique business opportunities and leading cross-departmental projects across all areas of the firm.

This involves working across the breadth of the firm, including our four trading businesses (fundamental equities, systematic, fixed income, and commodities), Finance, Risk Management, Business Development, etc.

You will have the opportunity to influence senior executives, lead projects, and hone our competitive intelligence framework.

Responsibilities:

• Structure complex problems into simple, easy-to-understand frameworks
• Conduct in-depth research, develop quantitative analyses and synthesise information to provide recommendations to senior leaders to drive strategic business decisions
• Build financial models and business cases in support of key decisions
• Manage the delivery of multiple projects while keeping all stakeholders and sponsors informed
• Develop a detailed understanding of Millennium, its investment strategies and build comprehensive and innovative competitive and market analyses
• Challenge work in progress, results and reorient any analyses if needed
• Diagnose issues, prioritise and escalate when needed
• Identify potential risks and mitigants

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years' work experience
• Ability to conduct rigorous analysis (both quantitative and qualitative) necessary to frame and solve complex problems
• Strong presentation skills and experience presenting to senior leadership
• Strong communication skills; ability to influence and articulate a variety of issues to different audiences, tailoring messages accordingly
• Ability to get up to speed quickly on new problems, shift gears and handle multiple topics concurrently

The estimated base salary range for this position is $160,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future.
