Working Student mit Schwerpunkt Generative AI und Data Engineering w/m/d

If you want to gain practical experience in the field of Generative AI alongside your studies, we have the right position for you! As a working student, you will work together with an interdisciplinary team on the development, integration, and further development of GenAI applications - from data preparation to intelligent pipelines and productive use in departments.

Your tasks will include:

• Working together with colleagues to implement GenAI use cases (e.g. chat and assistant systems, RAG, document analysis or agent workflows).
• Supporting the end-to-end implementation of GenAI applications - from data and indexing preparation to embeddings and delivery to departments.
• As part of the team, you will contribute to the development and optimization of GenAI pipelines (ingestion, retrieval, prompting, context construction, post-processing) and also participate in quality assurance.
• You will support tasks related to the integration of GenAI functions into existing data and analytics environments as well as the connection to APIs and services.
• Your help will be needed for the conception and implementation of evaluation and monitoring approaches for GenAI (e.g. testing answers, developing quality metrics, logging and drift monitoring).
• Participation in solutions for on-premise, hybrid, and cloud setups for GenAI (e.g. vector data storage, data access, and deployment) is another important aspect of your role.

Your profile should include:

• Active study with a focus on software engineering, computer science, informatics, telecommunications, mathematics, statistics, or similar.
• Python knowledge and ideally experience with data/ML-related code (e.g. data preparation, embeddings, retrieval, evaluation).
• First contacts with the integration of GenAI components (e.g. API/service connections, indexing, vector storage, result provision).
• Interest in quality assurance and evaluation of GenAI results (e.g. testing, metrics, logging, and monitoring).
• Basic knowledge of data science methods.
• Very good English skills in writing and speaking.
