Description

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centred care in accordance with the department's specific requirements and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers and document care in patient medical records in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests and striving to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
  • Teach patients, families, and caregivers about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures, translating complex medical terminology to ensure understanding.
  • Educate patients and families on non-medicinal follow-up measures such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Associate Degree.
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
