Description

This role involves supporting the medical and scientific objectives of AstraZeneca Rare Disease's products across their life cycle. As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL), you will be a field-based scientific expert who communicates accurate and applicable science to Healthcare Practitioners (HCPs) within a geographic area.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing and maintaining collegial and professional relationships with HCPs and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs)
  • Identifying and facilitating collaboration opportunities with AstraZeneca Rare Disease
  • Combining strong business acumen and clinical expertise to serve as a peer-to-peer liaison internally and externally
  • Identifying problems early on, seeking appropriate help and counsel to work past any barriers, and innovating to achieve medical goals and objectives

You will need to have:

  • A minimum education of MD, PharmD, or PhD in biological sciences, with clinical experience in a relevant therapeutic area or a track record of success as an MSL
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), a strong personal initiative, and the ability to function well as part of a cross-functional team

Additional requirements include:

  • Working from home, with travel within the region 3-4 days per week and occasional travel to medical meetings and team meetings
  • Living within the territory and being able to travel minimum ~70% of the time
  • Having a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
