Head of Product Education Engineering

Cursor is looking for a Head of Product Education Engineering to build and lead its technical curriculum function. The successful candidate will create and implement the roadmap, content architecture, and team required to ensure that every major capability released has the necessary educational infrastructure for developers to adopt it.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the technical education content roadmap, prioritizing against product releases, adoption gaps, and enterprise needs
• Build and maintain Cursor's technical learning library, including code walkthroughs, structured learning paths, lab exercises, certification-ready content, and workshops
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams ahead of major launches to ensure new capabilities ship with relevant tutorials and learning paths
• Help engineering organizations transition from isolated usage to company-wide adoption by designing rollout strategies and escalating product feedback
• Define performance metrics that measure activation, adoption, and developer fluency gains
• Lead and develop a team of education engineers and define Cursor's strategy for the third-party course ecosystem

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in technical education, developer content strategy, or developer relations at a developer tools or platform company
• Hands-on experience with developer workflows, AI tooling, SDLC tooling, CI/CD systems, and enterprise engineering environments
• Strong technical expertise in editorial judgment, with the ability to read code and identify errors
• Extensive experience using AI coding tools, preferably Cursor
• Customer-obsessed and cross-functional mindset, with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in ambiguous, fast-moving environments

Bonus Points

• Background in instructional design or learning science
• Experience building or governing a third-party education or partner certification ecosystem
• Familiarity with LMS platforms such as Skilljar or Thought Industries
• Experience managing video content programs, such as YouTube channels or tutorial series
• Prior experience standing up a certification or credentialing program from scratch
