Description
Join the Post-Surgical Unit at Lexington Medical Center, part of Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Health, as a Registered Nurse (RN) on a PRN basis.
The Post-Surgical Unit is a 15-bed unit dedicated to providing specialized care for patients undergoing joint replacement, urology, and gynecology procedures.
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care through evidence-based practice, clinical expertise, and compassionate care delivery in an acute care setting.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, advocate for patient needs, and uphold professional practice standards to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Utilize medical technology, including vital sign machines, IV pumps, Ice Man machines, and glucometers, to support comprehensive patient monitoring and care.
- Assist patients in their recovery process using mobility aids such as walkers and bedside commodes.
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state of North Carolina.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) preferred (required prior to completion of orientation).
- Greater than 2 years of RN experience preferred.
Schedule Details:
- PRN - Minimum of 3 shifts per 6-week scheduling period.
- Primarily weekday availability with occasional Saturday opportunities.
- Shifts are 7am-7pm.
- Holiday requirements.
- Required 1st week orientation Monday-Wednesday.
Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30
