Description

A Privacy Counsel role has become available at Palantir, a world-changing company that builds the world's leading software for data-driven decisions and operations. As a Privacy Counsel, you will give practical, business-oriented legal advice and counsel on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and European data protection matters to stakeholders across the organisation. You'll assess legal risks, develop mitigation strategies, and provide guidance on complex issues including international data transfers, consent management, legitimate interests assessments, and data subject rights.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and communicating Palantir's positions on key data protection issues to prospective and current customers, particularly in relation to the GDPR and other key privacy laws and regulations (EU AI Act, ePrivacy Directive, UK GDPR, CCPA, etc.). You will partner closely with the commercial legal team to help accelerate and facilitate customer discussions and directly support complex negotiations.

Requirements include serving as a legal advisor on GDPR and European data protection matters, defining and developing Palantir's substantive positions on data protection agreements, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating data processing agreements (DPAs), and collaborating closely with Business, Operations, Finance, and Engineering teams to shepherd deals to execution and product development.
