Electrical Test Engineer

We are looking to bring on a Electrical Test engineer to design and deliver test systems for Anduril's electronic products. This person will work with the cross-functional organisations to identify gaps in test coverage and own the design and delivery of the hardware and software test solution.

A strong Test Design Engineer will need to have a proven track record of delivering user-friendly test solutions for validating electronic components and sub-assemblies and has a background in hardware, software, integration and production support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading and owning Hardware Qualification test plan definition for new products and new features, in collaboration with firmware, software, and hardware design teams
• Determining test strategies that optimise product safety, product reliability, risk mitigation, FMEA coverage, and schedule
• Designing and executing PCBA and electrical system components with hands-on testing and rework as necessary
• Data analysis and clear communication of results and collaboration with design engineers to resolve any product problems found via test
• Designing and implementing next-generation test automation hardware systems to facilitate fast and repeatable testing of product
• Managing purchasing, build, integration, and final commissioning of functional testers
• Developing test procedures and test automation from component level to system level
• Supporting board bring-up and bench validation as needed
• Supporting Design Engineer with DFT, providing feedback from test results to improve quality and test coverage
• Supporting manufacture test bring-up and yield
• Supporting quality field failure analysis

Required qualifications include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience designing functional test equipment and PCBAs
• Experience in Schematic Capture and PCBA layout
• Knowledge of a scripting language to develop automation: Python, C#, MATLAB, or SHELL
• Experience using NI TestStand is a plus
• Instrument control using VISA and SCPI
• Understanding of peripherals and developing test and validation strategies
• Experience with computer hardware communication bus protocols: USB, I2C, I2S, CSI, Ethernet, SPI, PCIe, HDMI, CAN, etc
• Understanding of memory hierarchy and developing test and validation strategy
• Understanding of Product Release Cycle from prototype to production and key deliverables of each phase
• Collaborating with a cross-functional team to support product development from prototype to production
• Experience with hands-on electrical engineering work

Preferred qualifications include:

• Understanding both hardware and software integration and test process
• Advance proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and VISIO
• Understanding of lab safety protocols when working in all types of lab environments
• A detail-oriented individual who strives in an environment that values effective team collaboration
• Self-motivated: Demonstrating ability to set direction and proactively identifying and filling gaps where needed

US Salary Range: $132,000-$198,000 USD
