Electrical Engineer, Drones

Anduril Industries is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join its Tactical Recon & Strike (TRS) team.

The TRS division builds highly capable autonomous drones and solid rocket motors at scale. The successful candidate will design embedded control electronics from concept to production, troubleshoot issues spanning electrical and software boundaries, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver fully functional products.

Responsibilities:

• Design embedded control electronics from concept to production, including hardware selection, schematic & PCB design, board bring-up, and system level integration.
• Troubleshoot issues that span the electrical and software boundaries, with solid skills using both lab equipment (Oscilloscopes, DMM, etc.) and software debugging tools.
• Work closely with other electrical, mechanical, software, firmware, and test engineers to deliver fully functional products.
• Work in a fast-paced environment supporting new developments, active deployments, and customer operated hardware.
• Concurrently manage involvement in multiple projects at various stages.

Requirements:

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting complex embedded systems and products.
• Demonstrated experience designing mixed signal circuits.
• Competence with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, debuggers, current-probes, and automation of tests.
• Exceptional organization and communication skills (both written and oral).
• Proficient with Altium Designer or equivalent electronic design automation design tools.
• U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with C.
• Familiarity with software development processes and tools such as git, Github, JIRA, etc.
• Experience with developing for a safety-critical environment.
• Experience working on products used in tough environments (automotive, aerospace, defense, etc.).
• Knowledge of embedded software development, including use of timers, interrupts, hardware peripherals such as SPI controllers and ADCs.

Salary Range: $129,000-$171,000 USD
