About the Department
Domain management is the foundation for any online presence and Cloudflare Registrar is our answer to a simple and straightforward experience. The Registrar product manages the full lifecycle of the domains, including searching/registering for new domains and transferring/renewing existing ones.
Responsibilities
Designing, building, running and scaling tools and services that support the full spectrum of domain management.
Analyzing and communicating complex technical requirements and concepts, working with technical leaders to carve a path to delivery.
Improving system design and architecture to ensure stability and performance of the internal and customer-facing compliance concerns.
Ongoing monitoring and maintenance of production services, including participation in on-call rotations.
Requirements
3+ years of experience as a software engineer with a focus on designing, building and scaling data infrastructure.
Strong communication skills, especially around articulating technical concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience working on, and deploying, large scale systems in Typescript, Go, Ruby/Rails, Java, or other high performance languages.
Experience (and love) for debugging to ensure the system works in all cases.
Strong systems level programming skills.
Excited by the idea of optimizing complex solutions to general problems that all websites face.
Experience with a continuous integration workflow and using source control (we use git).
Bonus Points
Experience with Cloudflare Developer Platform.
Experience with Ruby or Go (or a strong desire to learn).
Experience working with OpenAPI.
Experience with AI coding tools.
Experience with Kubernetes.
Experience with Kibana, Grafana, and/or Prometheus.
Experience with relational databases (e.g. Postgres).
Experience with Gitlab and Gitlab CI.
Experience with DNS (and DNSSEC).
Experience in the registry/registrar industry.
