Description

This role involves conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify partnership opportunities. You will support prioritisation of target markets, sectors, and partners, build and maintain a pipeline of potential licensing and JV opportunities, and prepare briefing materials on new markets and entry strategies.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing briefing materials on new markets and entry strategies

You will also support the identification and initial assessment of potential partners, analyse partner capabilities, prepare partner profiles and recommendation papers, develop and maintain detailed financial models for licensing and JV opportunities, and run scenario and sensitivity analysis to support decision-making.

Additionally, you will support the design of commercial structures for licensing and JV deals, model royalty structures and minimum guarantees, assess pricing and margin implications, support analysis of equity structures and funding requirements, and model profit share and capital deployment scenarios.

In this role, you will coordinate internal workstreams across legal, finance, tax, and operations, support preparation of investment papers, deal summaries, and approval documentation, track progress against transaction timelines and milestones, and coordinate and support due diligence processes.

You will also support implementation of governance frameworks for JVs and licensing agreements, track and report on partner performance vs targets, prepare materials for board meetings and steering committees, monitor KPIs and flag underperformance, and maintain dashboards tracking pipeline development, deal status, and financial performance of partnerships.

The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate development, business development, consulting, or finance, exposure to partnerships, licensing, joint ventures, or M&A, experience in financial modelling and commercial analysis, and strong financial modelling and analytical capability.

You will also have high attention to detail and structured thinking, ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines, strong written and verbal communication skills, commercial awareness and problem-solving mindset, proactive and delivery-focused approach, and strong team player with collaborative mindset.
