HIM Technician

The HIM Technician will work in the Kansas City Card Arrhythmia Research department, assisting with the collection, processing, and maintenance of patient health information. This role involves working with electronic health records, medical coding, and data analysis. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the collection, processing, and maintenance of patient health information
• Work with electronic health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date information
• Perform medical coding and data analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve issues and improve patient care
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
• Strong organizational and communication skills
