Description

The Data Center Construction Security Program Manager is responsible for physical security program management across all CoreWeave construction projects globally. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Data Center Risk and Assurance, this role ensures that physical security requirements are integrated into every phase of the construction lifecycle- from concept and pre-planning through contract negotiation, build, commissioning, and turnover.

This role partners closely with Construction Management, Site Selection, Legal, Procurement, construction contractors, Security Design, and Security Operations to ensure that CoreWeave construction security standards are included in contracts and upheld throughout the construction lifecycle. This role ensures security risks are identified early, mitigated proactively, and carried through into contractual requirements, design controls, and operational workflows.

The DC Construction Security Program Manager also serves as CoreWeave’s primary security representative during construction project site visits, contractor engagements, and regulatory interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve CoreWeave’s data center construction security program across all active and planned global construction projects.
  • Directly support construction project teams through all phases: concept, planning, contract negotiation, build, commissioning, and turnover; ensuring physical security requirements are embedded and executed at each stage.
  • Conduct physical security risk assessments and due diligence evaluations for construction sites, and partner with Legal, Procurement, and DC Security teams to ensure physical security requirements are incorporated into construction contracts and subcontractor scopes of work.
  • Conduct site visits and in-person inspections to assess security posture, validate compliance with CoreWeave security standards, and identify emerging risks on active construction sites.
  • Collaborate with General Contractors, Security Design, and Security Operations to mitigate security risks.
  • Oversee the quality of construction phase security program implementation by Construction Managers, General Contractors, Lessors, and other project stakeholders, including the quality of incident investigations, corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans, security plans, and security performance metrics.
  • Define and enforce contractor security requirements and expectations, including personnel vetting, access credentialing, and on-site security conduct.
  • Serve as CoreWeave’s security representative during contractor engagements, regulatory inspections, and government interactions related to construction security matters.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration, incident response, and root cause analyses for all security events occurring during construction phases.
  • Monitor, measure, and report on security program performance, while continually seeking to improve, optimize, and scale the construction security program.

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience in physical security program management within data center, construction, or critical infrastructure environments, with direct exposure to construction project lifecycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct physical security risk assessments and due diligence evaluations for active construction and greenfield development sites.
  • Familiarity with physical security controls, security systems (access control, CCTV, intrusion detection), and security design standards as applied in construction environments.
  • Understanding of physical security compliance frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, NIST) and experience translating framework requirements into construction security standards and contract language.
  • Experience collaborating with Legal, Procurement, and Construction Management to embed security requirements into contracts, scopes of work, and project plans.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple concurrent construction projects across geographies, balancing site-level tactical support with broader program management responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and cross-functional collaboration skills; comfortable engaging with general contractors, site teams, and executive stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 50% to support active construction projects.
  • Relevant certifications preferred: PSP (Physical Security Professional), CPP (Certified Protection Professional), OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety, or equivalent on-the-job experience in construction security environments.
