Key responsibilities include:
- Performing system safety analyses, including Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Preliminary System Safety Assessments (PSSA), System Safety Assessments (SSA), and Common Cause Analysis (CCA).
- Collaborating with design, reliability, and certification teams to ensure safety requirements are met.
- Participating in design reviews, providing critical safety-related input.
- Utilizing innovative approaches to solve complex and challenging problems.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of safety processes and tools.
- Taking personal responsibility for your continued professional growth and development, with full support from your manager.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in system safety engineering, preferably in the aerospace industry.
- Familiarity with safety standards such as ARP4761, ARP4754A, DO-178C, and DO-254.
- Experience with safety analysis tools (e.g., Fault Tree+, CAFTA, or similar).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
