Our mission at Duolingo is to develop the best education in the world and make it universally available. We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Android) to join the India Growth team. Your role will be to rapidly expand our user base in India by delivering product features. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape growth strategies, identify and resolve retention and engagement problems for our learners in India who are mainly learning English.
You will quickly develop and maintain native Android application features in Kotlin, collaborate on software projects with product managers, and perform experiment analysis on features and find opportunities for optimization.
You have a minimum of 5 years of programming experience building reactive Android apps in Kotlin, experience in developing world-class apps with stability, performance, and scalability in mind, and the ability to communicate technical issues effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
