Description

You will collect, analyse, store, process, and communicate competitive automotive benchmark data from emerging markets across Europe and North Africa.

Stay abreast of automotive industry trends, technologies, and key announced actions from suppliers and OEMs to inform benchmark activities.

You will identify and evaluate cost optimisation opportunities related to supplier footprint and regional capabilities.

Research and provide critical benchmark data to support negotiations of key cost elements and service conditions with suppliers.

Drive the transformation of Commodity/Components Purchasing Strategies to achieve and improve the long-term cost baseline.

You will develop and implement business cases for Emerging Markets Sourcing Opportunities to meet competitive sourcing objectives in Co-Lead with cross-functional team.

Initiate and facilitate initial contacts between potential new suppliers and internal Company Organisations (Product Development, Purchasing, Logistics).

Travel to conduct onsite and virtual scouting of incumbent and potential new suppliers to stay updated on the latest available technologies, compare capabilities and identify new opportunities.

Act as a single point of contact to resolve conflicts or communication gaps with new potential suppliers, ensuring smooth onboarding.

Understand product specifications and the quotation process to effectively train and develop new suppliers in line with company standards.

Drive the development of Suppliers capable of meeting quality, cost, timing, and technology targets in Emerging Markets locations.

Follow up on the industrialisation plans of suppliers added to the market test by emerging markets or located in emerging markets, ensuring they complete the different deliverables required per project milestone.

You will lead effective cross-functional teams. Ensure collaboration and coordination with local and remote team members across various functions.

Regularly communicate key workstreams, progress, and strategic insights to senior management through executive presentations.

Continuously monitor and stay updated on country-specific risks that could impact the supply chain, such as weather conditions affecting Morocco-Europe harbour connections, floods, geopolitical events, and supplier performance issues.

Prepare and submit travel expense reports.

Organise management travel arrangements and company events as required.

Manage Tangier office services and supplies, including IT devices, computers, printers, cleaning services, electricity, maintenance, and other general office provisions. Identify local suppliers for office services and supplies, present competitive quotes to management for approval, oversee the purchase order process and manage implementation.

Seek, obtain approval for, and organise training opportunities in Morocco.

Prepare and process documentation for Tangier Office Permits (e.g., Free Zone access, visa allowances).
