Description
We are seeking a Demi Chef de Partie Pastry to join our team. As a Demi Chef de Partie Pastry, you will be responsible for executing production in the Pastry area and stations according to company recipes and presentation, as directed by the Executive Pastry & Bakery Chef or Chef de Partie Pastry. You will also be responsible for supervising and mentoring Commis Pastry in an assigned service station during operational activities and assisting in on-the-job training for new hire Pastry staff as directed by the Executive Pastry & Bakery Chef or Chef De Partie Pastry.
The ideal candidate will have formal qualification in Pastry Arts from a recognized culinary training institution, at least four years of pastry experience with at least one year experience as 1st Commis Pastry, recent experience in high-volume Pastry production preferably from large hotels/resorts or cruise ships, solid knowledge of international pastry recipes and preparation process, solid knowledge of USPH Standards, Food Safety and Waste Management, command of the English language, both verbal and written, understanding of the foundation of guest service, ability and willingness to deliver outstanding service to our guests, motivation to excel in all aspects of job duties and responsibilities, personable communicator with outstanding social skills and a warm, friendly, and caring personality, ability to continuously surprise and delight guests throughout their cruise experience, and commitment to establish and maintain courteous and professional working relationships in a diverse cultural environment.
This position involves regular physical activity, including standing for extended periods and lifting or moving heavy items in line with operational requirements.
