Intermediate Fullstack Engineer - Data Products

GitLab is seeking an Intermediate Fullstack Engineer for its Data Products team. The successful candidate will work remotely in India.

Job Overview

The Data Products team integrates GitLab and third-party software development lifecycle data, building dashboards, APIs, and data products. The ideal candidate will contribute to frontend experiences, backend services, APIs, and AI-enabled workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop features for ingesting, modeling, and syncing GitLab and third-party data into the knowledge graph.
• Build integrations with external systems like Jira, observability tools, Zendesk, and ServiceNow.
• Create features for Software Engineering Intelligence dashboards, including DORA, value stream reporting, and software development lifecycle metrics.
• Participate in design discussions and technical direction with Senior and Staff Engineers.
• Engage in code reviews and improve code quality.
• Develop a deep understanding of the system to ship changes independently and resolve issues quickly.

Requirements

• Deep production experience building and operating fullstack applications.
• Proficiency with Go, Ruby, and Node.
• Experience with data platforms like ClickHouse or comparable OLAP systems.
• Hands-on experience building AI-powered product features.
• Experience operating multi-tenant applications.
• Strong written communication and ability to decompose complex initiatives.
• Experience building third-party or API integrations.

Team Overview

The Data Products team works across three surfaces: Dashboard and Reporting Framework, Internal Ingestion, and External Ingestion.
