Description
We're looking for a Team Manager- Production Control to join our team at the Windsor Engine Plant/Essex Engine Plant. This role will oversee forward model, engineering change control, scheduling, supply chain, inventory, distribution, stockpiling, and Ford Customer Service Division (FCSD) operations. You will ensure just-in-time material flow and uninterrupted production by reviewing customer releases, production schedules, inventory, and obsolescence management. Additionally, you will optimize production schedules for economic efficiency and proactively respond to customer, quality, shipping, and schedule changes.
As a Team Manager- Production Control, you will lead supplier capacity constraint management and coordinate with external logistics providers to resolve supply issues. You will drive initiatives for inventory reduction, cost savings, record accuracy, and process enhancements. You will review premium freight expedites for improvement opportunities and manage receiving/shipping discrepancies.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline and 5-10 years' experience in production control or inventory management. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with plant hourly and salaried personnel, plant management, logistics carriers, and production suppliers.
